SIS Bags 21 Medals in CBSE Qatar Cluster Taekwondo Competition

The students of Shantiniketan Indian School, Doha won 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 14 Bronze medals in the CBSE Qatar Cluster Taekwondo Competition organized by Ideal Indian School on 16 & 17 May 2016. Students created a new milestone for the school by attaining a record number of medals in the field of Taekwondo. It was remarkable and delighting that all the 11 boys and 10 girls who took part in the competition exhibited excellent performance to attain medals in their categories.

Gold Medalists – Sushant kumar Deep (class XI-A), Aniket Anil Nair (class XI-B) and Mohammed Reda Ibrahim (VII i) has been selected to participate in the CBSE National Taekwondo Championship, to be held in India.

Silver medalists–Jacob Mathew, Romin Gairhe, Kareman Mohammed and Puja KC

Bronze medalist– Mohammed Arif, Mohamed Abdel Shakor, Fadi Mohammed Khalid, Mohammed Arif, Komminani Manish, Saadi, Rishal choudhary, Asiya Aden Abdi, Asha Shani Mohamed, Deima Omar Ahmed, Padmapriya Saravanan, Nour Ehab Shahim, Hebatallah, Nada Mohamed and Yasmin.

Principal, Dr. Subhash Nair, Vice-Principal Academics Mr. Shihabudheen, Vice-Principal CBSE (i) – Mr. Dudley O’Connor, and the Head of the Department –Physical Education – Mrs. Liji Mathew congratulated the winners and their Trainer, Mr. Ram Kishore Sharma, for their hard work and committed efforts.
