Shantiniketan Indian School proudly bagged the second prize in the Band Music Competition at the Silver Spectrum – Singing Stars Competition 2025, held on October 4, 2025, at DPS Modern Indian School.
The school band, SIS Beats, made its debut performance at this prestigious interschool event, captivating the audience with an original composition created by Mr. Insaf A, Head of the Department of MDCA. The talented team members — Stefano Antony Shibu, Afreen Abdul Khader, Gokul Krishna Triprayatte Pradeep Kumar, Serah Ann Francis, Daniel Jacob, Samuel K. San, Giftson Satheesh, David E. D., Luke Sebastian, Sheza, Nusaifa Thamanna, and Nashwa — showcased exceptional musical coordination and creativity, earning high praise from the judges and audience alike.
The Principal, Vice Principal, and Activity Coordinator Ms. Soumya congratulated the young musicians for their remarkable achievement and commended their dedication and teamwork.
In the same event, the Group Song presented by SIS students also received great appreciation for its harmony and patriotic spirit. The melodious performance was guided and trained by Ms. Rachana and featured the following students: Fathima Joori (5A), Afshan (5A), Aarushi (5B), Nithya (5B), Shanice (5B), Ishaan Amarjith (5B), Zara Afreen (5E), Joseph Devis (4B), Ehaan Abbas (4C), and Aysha Shareef (4D).
