The boys under-16 Football team of Shantiniketan Indian School, exhibited remarkable performance in the Inter School shootout Football Tournament organized by Kozhikode Jilla Pravasi Association (KPAQ) to emerge as champions in U-16 category.
A total of eight teams representing different Indian schools in Qatar participated in the tournament. The team led by Athif Rahman of Grade 10 A, who also represented Qatar in Academy Football World Cup 2022, organized by Paris Saint Germain from 20 May 2022 to 24, won all their round robin matches to emerge as champions in the tournament which was held 27 May 2022 at Hamilton International School Sports Stadium.
The Guests, Dr. Mohan Thomas, President ISC awarded the trophies and felicitated the winners that included Nasser Ajjaz – 9 C, Salman Mohamed Suliman – 8 C, Amro Khalid – 8 C, Hamdan Yoosuf – 9 B, Ashmil Abdulla – 9 B, Anurag Ajit Bankar – 10 D, Muhammed Adnan – 9 D, Hamad Riaz – 9 F, Ahmad Yaseen – 9 C.
