SIS celebrates 75Years of Indian Independence

75 Years of Indian Independence was celebrated with great patriotic zeal under the ambit of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Students and teachers teamed up to showcase a cultural extravaganza showing the diverse culture and traditions of India.  

The school Choir, little kids and group of students spread out the spirit of patriotism through their songs. The folk dance of Kerala and the colourful patriotic dance was a treat for the audience. The secondary and senior secondary students enthralled the audience. The expressionist presentation of Where the Mind is without Fear brought a chill in the audience. The mime presented by the middle section students pepped up and evoked sense of respect for the National Flag.    

The aura of patriotism was seen across all sections and classrooms where students used their creative skills to develop artworks showcasing the portraits of Nationalist leaders and produced national symbols. A Live quiz on Indian Independence was also conducted. Students from the Junior section paraded in colourful dresses depicting the rich culture and traditions of India.

The meticulous planning and execution of the programme was highly appreciated by the Principal – Ms. Pamela Ghosh. She also congratulated the students and the organisers for presenting a wonderful programme.
