April 22, 2026:

SIS celebrated Earth Day on 22 April 2026 with great enthusiasm across the Foundational, Preparatory, Middle, and Secondary Sections, embracing the global theme “Our Power, Our Planet.” A variety of engaging, age-appropriate activities fostered environmental awareness and responsibility among students.

In the Foundational Section, KG students explored nature through handprint art, plant decoration, and nature-based crafts, while Grades I and II participated in photo booth activities, collage making, waste sorting challenges, Eco Lunch Box Day, and “Best Out of Waste” projects, nurturing early eco-conscious habits.

The Preparatory Section (Grades 3–5), under the guidance of Academic Supervisor Mr. Wayne Rodrigues and Activity Coordinator Ms. Nazia Tahseen, conducted activities such as “Plant & Promise,” recycled creations, eco-slogans, awareness campaigns, and sustainable city models.

In the Middle Section, students engaged in initiatives like “One Change, One Impact,” awareness campaigns, debates, and carbon footprint analysis.

The Secondary Section marked the day with an awareness session and interactive discussions on environmental conservation and sustainable living, encouraging thoughtful reflection and responsible action.
Guided by HOD Mrs. Payal Das, the celebration was a resounding success, inspiring students to adopt eco-friendly practices for a greener future.
