SIS celebrated Gandhi Jayanti programme under the guidance of Social Science Department reliving the memories of the Freedom Struggle of India under the leadership of Gandhiji.
The Students from the Middle Section participated with a great sense of nationalism and spirit. They presented a tableau showing Bharat Mata and portraying the great nationalists like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sarojini Naidu, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Rabindranath Tagore.
The celebration began with the Holy verses of Quran presented by Syed Zaid and Mohammad Asim. Sidra welcomed the august gathering comprising the Principal, Dr. Subhash Nair, Vice Princial Admin, Mr Shihabudeen, Vice Principal – CBSEi, Headmistress Mrs. Prabha Saji and Mrs. Mehjabeen.
The atmosphere was filled with patriotism as Tabarak of Class VII presented the life and teachings of the great leader. Suroor of class VIII made a presentation of rare pictures from the life and struggles of Bapu. The school choir and the dance troupe added a musical flavor.
Mr. Shihabudeen – Vice Principal delivered his inspirational speech and urged the students to pick some traits of Gandhi’s life and follow his principles to be successful in all spheres of life.
Sharlet of Grade VIII concluded the programme with her vote of thanks.
