Shantiniketan Indian School celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and gratitude on the 5th of September 2023. The event took place in the Multi-Purpose Hall. The Student Council members organized a fun-filled cultural event where different activities were carried out by our talented students. One of the highlights of the event was a poem recitation by Priyasha. She captivated the audience with her heartfelt words and confident delivery. Her poem touched upon themes of love, friendship, and the beauty of nature. Priyasha’s excellent performance left everyone in awe and garnered thunderous applause.
An exciting story completion game was organized where participants were given a half-written story, and they had to complete it using their imagination and creativity. The participants’ diverse ideas and unique twists added a touch of suspense and entertainment to the game.
Moving on, a group song was performed by the talented students of SIS. They showcased their harmonious voices and synchronized choreography, leaving the audience mesmerized. The song selection was a mix of popular hits, and the students’ energy and enthusiasm shone through their performance. The teamwork and coordination displayed by the group were commendable.
Hiba Shamna took the stage to perform a soulful solo song. Her song choice and heartfelt performance left a lasting impression on everyone present.
To add a dash of humour and entertainment, the students organized a game of Dum charades. This classic game had everyone laughing and guessing as participants mimed out movie titles, songs, and phrases without speaking.
The cultural event was a remarkable success, showcasing the immense talent and creativity of our students. Each activity brought something unique to the table, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained and impressed. The effort and dedication put in by both the organizers and performers were evident, making it a memorable event for everyone involved.
Mr. Rasheed Ahmed, the President of the school, delivered a concise and inspiring message for all the teachers. Mr. Rafeeq Rahim, the Principal, addressed the gathering, appreciating the relentless efforts and dedication of the teachers. Dr. Salil Hassan, Vice-Principal, appreciated the efforts of the Student Council members and congratulated them. Bishal chanda, the Head Boy, expressed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the students, acknowledging the teachers’ contributions and impact on their lives.
The celebrations concluded with a luncheon organized for the teachers. This provided an opportunity for the students and teachers to interact and enjoy a meal together.The Teachers’ Day celebration at Shantiniketan Indian School was a resounding success, honouring the teachers’ invaluable role in shaping the future of the students. The event showcased the talents of the students and fostered a sense of respect and gratitude for the teachers in the school community.
