Shantiniketan Indian School came alive with vibrant energy and heartfelt gratitude as students and teachers came together to celebrate Teachers’ Day. The celebrations were marked by a variety of engaging and creative events, making the day a memorable one for both students and teachers.
The highlight of the day was the role reversal, where senior students took on the responsibility of becoming student-teachers for the junior classes. With great enthusiasm and dedication, the senior students conducted classes, guiding their juniors through various subjects while showcasing their teaching skills. The initiative not only provided the younger students with a fun learning experience but also gave the seniors a glimpse into the life of a teacher.
The event continued with a series of cultural programs presented by the students to express their appreciation for their beloved teachers. Performances included songs, dances, and mimes, all dedicated to celebrating the spirit of teaching and learning. The students’ performances were met with applause, reflecting the deep bond between students and teachers.
Later in the day, the teachers took the stage with their own cultural program, which became a major highlight of the celebrations. The events kicked off with a beautiful melody by Mr. Nihal. The English Department put up a delightful skit, filled with humour. This was followed by an energetic dance performance by Mrs. Prajitha and her team, which left the audience in awe. The program concluded on a musical note with a beautiful song by Mrs. Sruthy, Mrs. Rachana and Mrs. Mukta whose melodious voices added to the warmth of the celebration.
The day ended with the honoring of the veteran teaching staff and releasing of silver jubilee badges followed by photo session and honorary luncheon. It was a day filled with appreciation, creativity, and shared joy, reflecting the strong sense of a community that defines Shantiniketan Indian School.
