On 16th October 2024, the Foundation Section of Shantiniketan Indian School celebrated International World Food Day with engaging activities for KG1, KG2, Grade 1, and Grade 2 students.
•KG1 & KG2: The Montessori area became a vibrant Kids’ Bazaar, where KG2 students acted as sellers and KG1 students as buyers, learning teamwork, communication, and responsibility through trading food items.
•Grade 1: Students hosted a creative Food Art Exhibition, crafting art from fruits and vegetables, promoting healthy eating with a touch of creativity.
•Grade 2: Students explored geometric shapes through food in the Shapes of Food activity and shared multi-cuisine dishes with presentations on their origins, fostering cultural appreciation.
The event was graced by Principal Mr. Rafeeq Rahim and Academic Supervisor Ms. Mehjabeen Hassan, who commended the students’ efforts. The activities provided valuable lessons on food, culture, and kindness in a fun and interactive way.
