Shantiniketan Indian School organized an inter-house debate competition “SIS CHAIRMAN’S POLEMIC CHALLENGE – 2013” on 21st November, 2013. Eight students from 4 houses put their debating skills to test for and against the motion ‘Modern Education System promotes World Peace”. Ms. Parvathi of class XII was the moderator. The divergent viewpoints expressed by the debaters were appreciated by judges and audience. Navin of Class X B emerged as the best debater. Yellow house was declared as the best debating house. Students were highly motivated due to the presence of Mr. K.C. Abdul Latheef, President of School Management Committee as the Chief Guest of the event. He congratulated the winners and the participants. The event was well co-ordinated by Mrs. Carol from the English Department.
