SIS conducts Inter-School Teacher’s Empowerment Programme on Qualities of an Ideal Teacher

Inter School Teachers’ Empowerment Programme under the aegis of Qatar Chapter, was conducted online on ZOOM platform by Shantiniketan Indian School. The empowerment programme titled “Qualities of an Ideal Teacher” was attended by teachers from six Indian Schools with the objective to identify and accentuate the qualities of an ideal teacher who is always delightful – Inviting, Intuitive, Engaging, Memorable, Innovative, Disruptive, and Enabling.

The session conducted by Mrs. Nazia Saleem – English Teacher, and Mr. Dudley O’Connor – Vice Principal of SIS. The session was quite engaging as teachers were engrossed in group activities and discussion of valuable qualities of an ideal teacher. Teachers openly interacted and shared their valuable insights and experiences that enriched the large audience from across Indian schools in Doha.

Principal of SIS – Mrs. Pamela Ghosh Dasgupta expressed her happiness on the way the resource persons and teachers shared their ideas. She was also optimistic that the knowledge acquired during the session would empower teachers as well as students in the Qatar Chapter schools will reap rich and become delightful teachers and also the students would get empowered to become 21st century learners and future citizens.
