Shantiniketan Indian School, in association with Gulf Sahodaya, organized an Inter-school discussion forum on “Challenges of teaching Arabic and Islamic studies in Indian schools” recently. Heads of the departments of around 10 Indian schools under Qatar chapter actively participated as resource persons in this two hours discussion. The discussion was conducted remotely on the Virtual ZOOM Platform.
The discussion was very professionally moderated by Mr. Mudassir Kirmani, HOD of Arabic/Urdu SIS. All the HOD’s from different schools were extremely happy with the initiative taken by SIS for conducting this discussion forum and suggested to continue these types of forums. All the resource persons put forward their topics effectively. Many suggestions and solutions to meet above mentioned challenges were put forward in strict adherence to the MOEHE guidelines
Mr. Jaseer, HOD of Islamic studies of SIS responded to the queries and questions from respective HODs regarding the three compulsory subjects and delivered the vote of thanks for the active participation of all.
