April 19, 2025:
Over two dynamic and inspiring days, more than 250 students from 13 institutions across Qatar and 2 international schools gathered to engage in spirited and thoughtful debates on some of today’s most pressing global issues. The event was on 18& 19 th April 2025, VOLMUN, was organized by the Lycée Franco-Qatarien Voltaire and hosted at Lusail University.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the SIS MUN team for their outstanding achievements at VOLMUN 2025 . This talented delegation Fatemeh (Grade 12), Shaza (Grade 12), Raina (Grade 10), Nashiah (Grade 10), and Ilham (Grade 7) represented their school with distinction, dedication, and grace. Each participant was awarded a certificate of recognition, with Shaza and Ilham receiving the prestigious Honorable Mention awards for their exceptional contributions throughout the conference.
Guided by their devoted mentors, the team embarked on this remarkable journey with passion and perseverance. On Day 1, they were accompanied by Miss Najma, while on Day 2, Miss Sheba provided steadfast support and guidance. Their participation in VOLMUN stands as a powerful testament to their hard work, meticulous preparation, and unwavering commitment to the art of diplomacy and debate. Facing challenges with resilience and teamwork, they showcased not only their knowledge but also their leadership and collaborative spirit. SIS takes immense pride in these young leaders who have made a lasting impact in the realm of Model United Nations.
A special note of gratitude is extended to the head of the social science department and the department teachers, whose dedicated training and mentorship were instrumental in shaping the team’s success. The principal, vice-principal, and academic supervisor also extended their heartfelt congratulations to the team, celebrating their remarkable efforts and achievements.
