As part of Personalized Guidance Programme, the Counselling and Career Guidance Cell of Shantiniketan Indian School, organized a career orientation webinar series for students of classes 9 – 12. The event titled, ‘Exploring Career Possibilities; Travel through the experience of SIS Alumni’ was a series of webinar that included three sessions to cover diverse career prospects and courses of studies. SIS alumni members working in different fields in Qatar, India, UK, South Africa and Canada took the lead to guide the students through their experiences.
Ms. Sara Mathews, Ms. Shahinas Shahul, Mr. Ashique Sunil Kumar, Ms. Tahseen Syed, Ms. Tharini Salomi S D, Mr. Suhaim Najeeb, Dr. Nanditha Rajesh, Ms. Marwa Salah, Mr. Naveen Kelvin, Mr. Kelinton Edmond, Ms. Pooja Thakrar, Mr. Altamash Moazzam Mahatae, Mr. Adhil Arshad, Ms. Salwa Jalaludeen, Ms. Amy Susan Rison and Mr. Gracen Yesudas participated as panelists to share experiences with the present student and giving them a wider horizon of the careers available for them.
The sessions covered the educational and career opportunities in diverse fields of Engineering, Medicine, Business and Accounting, Biochemistry, Animation, Psychology, Aviation, Transportation Design, Fashion Design etc. They further oriented the students with the admission processes and requirements in different universities in Qatar, India and other international universities. The Sessions were highly insightful as the students got to learn from the first-hand experiences of their Alumni and understood the diverse career options ahead of them.
