SIS participates in the Qatar National Day Celebration 2019

More than 500 students and teachers of Shantiniketan Indian School participated in an array of cultural activities as part of the Qatar National Day Celebrations organized by the Ministry of Public Relations at Lusail Indoor Stadium. Thousands of students from twenty Asian Schools participated in the Students’ Arts Fest as part of the Associated Activities of Qatar National Day Celebrations. SIS participated in the Parade, Elocution, General Show and the Thematic Song reflecting this year’s Qatar National Day Celebration Theme ‘Al Maali Kaydah’, meaning ‘the path of excellence is difficult’.

Students paraded showcasing the progress made by Qatar and reflecting the Year 2019 as the year of Indo Qatar Culture. Aditya Hubli of Class XB spoke eloquently on the topic ‘Modern Qatar’ as part of the Elocution Contest. The school choir presented a song composed in praise of Qatar in the thematic song to mesmerize the audience. The Dance troupe showcased a performance reflecting Indo-Qatar Culture.

The SIS family congratulated the students and teachers for their whole-hearted participation.
