SIS had the privilege of participating in the Criiio program organized by the Qatar Cricket Association on the 26th and 29th of May, 2024, at the Al Garaffa Sports Complex. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of 130 boys and girls aged 8 to 12 years, accompanied by three teachers: Mr. Wasiullah (program in-charge), Mrs. Carol, and Mr. Hamza.
The primary objective of this program was to ignite a passion for cricket among schoolchildren. Each participant was provided with a T-shirt and a healthy refreshment upon arrival at the venue.
The event featured various cricket-related stations that covered the basics of the sport, including bowling, batting, and catching. Our students eagerly visited each station, gaining valuable insights and hands-on experience in the fundamental aspects of cricket.
The excitement was palpable throughout the event, and by the end of the session, our participants expressed their enthusiasm and appreciation. They found the Criiio program to be both inspirational and motivating, reinforcing their interest in cricket and sports in general.
