Students displayed sheer talent and outstanding performance in the ICC Interschool Competition organised by the Indian Cultural Centre(ICC) held at ICC Asoka Hall and won the major prizes.
A group of 10 students from SIS, along with some participants representing various Indian Schools in Qatar, participated and competed in the same. The event saw various dance competitions in which the SIS participants did a scintillating performance and brought home the 1st places in Group Dance and Mohiniyattam for the Pre Senior Category, Special Jury Award for solo dance Junior category and the third place in the solo dance Pre Senior Category. Abhirami P U of the Pre-senior category secured the first position for Mohiniyattam and the third place for solo dance while Ganga of Junior Category was honoured by the Special Jury Award for her remarkable performance.
Abhirami P U,Meera Antony,Amrutha Rajesh,Haripriya Krishnamurthy,Divna Teresa,Nirushya and Abhi Krishna represented the Pre-senior category in group dance.
The achievement was the outcome of the constant and rigorous training given to the participants by the school dance teacher Mrs.Pragisha besides the support and motivation given by the management, staff, parents and the students
