Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS) Student Council members were conferred with leadership role for the academic year 2021 – 2022 on Thursday 8th April 2021 in a grand ceremony conducted on the ZOOM Platform. Head Girl – Lamiya Ibrahim welcomed the gathering and expressed gratitude in conducting such a grand event.
Mr. Anwar Hussain – Member of the Management Committee of SIS. conferred the badges of office to Shourya Pratap Bisht– Head Boy; Lamiya Ibrahim– Head Girl; Ahmed Ruhul Bhuiya – Sports Captain; Asma Khalid Ibrahim Elagib – IT Secretary; Jhanvi Murugan – Literary Secretary; Sadia Anwar – Cultural Secretary; Jibraeel Khan – Assist. Head Boy; Sneha Tom – Asst. Head Girl; Sadia Aktar Shara – Assist. IT Secretary; Rohan Rajesh – Assist. Literary Secretary; Mohammed Abdul Samad – Assist. Sports Captain; Safa Fathomathu – Assist. Cultural Secretary; the House Captains and the House Prefects.
While addressing the newly appointed leaders, Mr. Anwar Hussain, advised the student leaders to shoulder responsibilities and guide the followers ethically in the right path. He reminded the students about the core value of righteousness, integrity, equality, justice, empathy respect and accountability. He urged the children to imbibe in themselves the constitutional, local and global values of humanism, tolerance, cooperation and peaceful coexistence.
Addressing the students on behalf of the Principal – Mr. Dudley O’Connor apprised the student leaders and congratulated them on being selected to the leadership in the Academic Year – 2021- 2022. He advised them to lead by example imbibing values in children through their actions.
