In support of the World Autism Awareness Initiative, SIS students from classes III – VIII participated in the 04th Autism Awareness Walkathon organized by the Qatar Institute for Speech and Hearing (QISH) at Al- Bidda Park on 5th April 2019. The walkathon was organized to mark the World Autism Awareness Day with the theme ‘help increase understanding and acceptance.’
World Autism Awareness Day is the outcome of the Draft Resolution proposed in the UN General Assembly by Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Missned, Qatar’s representative to the UN, in 2017.
