June 7, 2026:
The Commerce Department of Shantiniketan Indian School, Doha–Qatar, successfully organized SIS Tank – Season 1: Innovation for Tomorrow’s World on 7 June 2026, providing students with a dynamic platform to showcase innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
The initiative was conceptualized by Ms. Ifra Khursheed, Head of the Commerce Department, and conducted in collaboration with Student X under the leadership of Mr. Rahul Rajendran, Founder of Student X and Personal Wealth Management Consultant. The programme was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Nirmal Dominic, along with the Commerce teachers and Class XII Commerce students. A total of 23 students presented innovative business ideas and creative solutions.
The event was graced by Mr. Hisham Abdul Raheem, Vice President of IBPC; Mr. Shaheen Muhammed Shafi, Executive Director of MP Traders and President of Kerala Business Forum, Qatar; and Mr. Shaheen Backer, Entrepreneur, Business Coach, and Organisational Development Trainer.
The winners were:
Best Business Model Award – Aditya Chaudhary (XII D) and Omar Azhar Mahmood (XII C)
Innovation Champion Award – Hasha Fathima Jaleel (XI C) and Siyankhan Abdulla Khan (XI C)
Sustainable Future Award – Akshidha Thillaivinayagam (XI D) and Fahamida Bent Saif (XI D)
The programme was attended by Mr. Rasheed Ahmed (President), Mr. Anwar Hussain (Vice President), Mr. Rafeeq Rahim (Principal), Mr. Sujith Kumar (Vice Principal), and Mr. Nihal, Academic Coordinator, who announced the results. SIS congratulates all participants, mentors, panelists, teachers, and student organizers for making this inspiring initiative a remarkable success.
