SIS Teachers Discuss Adaptive Learning

Teachers of Shantiniketan Indian School had a discussion on “Adaptive Learning” to generate a better understanding of the method and the ways it can be used in classroom environment for effective learning.

The Panel members were Ms. Arya Unni (Moderator), Mr. Jamal M P (Social Science Department), Ms. Hema Unni (Pre-Primary Section), Ms. Juvairiya K K (Maths Department), Mr. Pankaj Rajkumar (English Department), Ms. Arshe Amrin (Arabic Department), Ms. Sreelakshmi (Science Department).

The discussion gave significant insights as the school this year formulated SIS-LEARN active learning pedagogy based on personalized instructions. SIS teachers undergo regular training to practice differentiated instruction to make learning more personalized. Adaptive learning strategies and tools will make this objective attainable. The schools’ focus, according to the panel members, must be to facilitate adaptive learning.
