Spell bug triggers cognitive skills in our little ones…..
The children of Pre-Primary section had an intriguing and engrossing activity Spell Bug on 8th February, 2017. With an objective to enhance the thinking process of our young budding buds, teachers meticulously organized lots of simple yet effective hands on experiences to engage the student’s mind. The teachers executed splendidly hand in hand informative and interactive activities like spelling games, word puzzles and word games to motivate the little ones to develop a keen interest in learning new words.
The learning process accompanying the spell bee is likely to enhance the child’s memory and allow the child to develop better learning skills, which can prove to be highly beneficial during higher education. The aim of the activity was also to kindle the child’s curiosity to read.
Children participated in the activity with great zeal and enthusiasm. Spell the word, rearrange the jumbled words, fill in the missing letter, find the word based on the clue given were some of the highlights of the event. The young ones displayed great excitement and tried their best to spell all the words correctly .The students played various word building games, puzzles etc. using iPad.
It was a rich educational experience for the children and allowed them to compete in a supportive environment. The activity resulted in benefits ranging from higher confidence to better vocabulary.
