December 11, 2024:
The students of Shantiniketan Indian School brought laurels to the institution by bagging the second position at the prestigious Insijamu Inter School Qatar History Competition held at Rajagiri Public School on 11th of December. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from numerous schools across the region, with teams showcasing their knowledge and quick thinking. The quiz competition was conducted in multiple rounds, testing participants on a range of topics, including current affairs, science, history, literature, and general knowledge. From 15 schools across Qatar, Shantiniketan Indian School along with 4 other schools were selected for the Finals after the preliminary round. The SIS team, comprising Danish Hasnath from Grade 7, Bhagya Sreebinu from Grade 8, and Lakshmi Priya from Grade 9, displayed exceptional teamwork, intelligence, and composure throughout the competition. There were many rounds as visual round, buzzer round, rapid fire round and more. They worked together as a team to answer each question. The Principal, Mr. Rafeeq Rahim, congratulated the team. The winning students expressed their joy and gratitude for the support they received. They dedicated their victory to their mentors and parents and shared their excitement about participating in future competitions. The event was well coordinated by Mrs. Payal Das (HOD Social Science).
