Students Pay Tribute to Their Teachers

Students Council Members of Shantiniketan Indian School organized a short program on the virtual platform to pay tribute to their teachers on the auspicious occasion of Teacher’s Day 

The students, alumni and parents teamed up to produce an enthralling programme which was organized on the Zoom Platform. Children expressed their gratitude with sheer passion and love through recorded speeches, short messages, dance, skits and mono acting. 

President of SIS Management Committee – Mr. Rasheed Ahamed graced the occasion and expressed happiness for the laurels brought in by the teachers. He said that teachers are like rain drops that nurture children and help them bloom. He added that teachers are blessing from God and a tribute to human beings.

Principal – Dr. Subhash B. Nair congratulated Mr. Syam Krishna for receiving The National ICT Award for Teachers by Government of India for the year 2018-2019. Out of about Twenty Thousand CBSE schools four schools were included in the list and Shantiniketan Indian School was one among them. He also expressed his immense pleasure and congratulated Ms. Kavitha Solomon and Mrs. Shamsiya Suhaibu for being awarded for the Embassy of India Teacher’s Facilitation Programme. He also congratulated nominees Ms. Nazia Taseen and Mrs. Nazia Saleem for their contribution.

Mr. Syamkrishna – ICT Head shared reflections of his the journey at SIS and development tools of learning for all the stakeholders.

Mrs. Shamsiya Suhaibu, Ms. Nazia Saleem, Ms. Nazia Tahseen and Ms. Kavitha Solomon – nominees for the Embassy of India –Doha Qatar Award for best teachers, shared their reflections on their journey at SIS and their journey through the selection process for being nominated for the Award.

The celebrations ended with the vote of thanks administered by School Head Girl Ms. Lamiya Ibrahim.
