Shantiniketan Indian School organized the first SIS Teachers’ Discussion Forum as a platform for Professional Development. The Panel members Mr. Virgil D’ Souza, Mrs. Sterin Thomas , Mrs. Suman Naresh, Mrs. Shazia Sultana and Mr. Wilson Roystin,  discussed the scope, opportunities and limitations of Active Teaching. Mr. Donald D’ Costa, moderated the discussions. Principal, Vice– Principals and the Head Teachers were present. Teachers posed relevant questions on-line for the panelists to answer.
The speakers shared their expertise and spoke about the experiences and pragmatic methods that will go a long way to ensure that every child in the class is included in the process of active learning.
Mr. Mathew welcomed the delegates.  Principal, Dr. Subhash B. Nair thanked Mr. Dudley O’ Connor the Vice Principal for planning and facilitating such a significant event intended to foster Professional Development among the teachers. Mrs. Mehjabeen Hasan in her note of appreciation thanked Mrs. Vasavi Ayyanan for coordinating the program.
