June 9, 2026:
A wellness session titled “My Inner Superpower” was conducted for the students of Grades 1 and 2 of the Afternoon Shift at Shantiniketan Indian School on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH). The session was organized by the School Counsellor, Ms. Ansiya Mohamed Arif, under the guidance of Ms. Sajina C.A., Academic Supervisor, with the aim of promoting positive behavior, self-discipline, impulse control, and safety awareness among young learners.
The session began with an engaging icebreaker activity called “The Boss of My Body,” which captured the students’ attention and enthusiasm. Through the concept of the “Brain Driver,” students learned the importance of controlling their actions, words, and movements and making responsible choices in different situations.
Interactive discussions, practical demonstrations, and real-life scenario-based activities encouraged active participation. Students learned and practiced a simple three-step self-regulation strategy—STOP, BREATHE, and CHOOSE—and also identified safe and unsafe behaviors by classifying them as “Super Choices” or “Danger Choices.”
The session concluded with a collective “Superpower Promise” pledge, encouraging students to practice self-discipline and make positive choices. The programme was attended by Principal Mr. Rafeeq Rahim, Senior Headmaster Mr. Rafeeque Ahmed, and Academic Supervisor Ms. Sajina C.A. The session was an enriching experience that empowered students to contribute to a safe, respectful, and happy school environment.
