World Book Day (Grades 1 – 2) Foundational (FN)

April 23, 2026:

“We are little readers with big dreams…..”
World Book Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and creativity in the Foundational Section, inspiring young learners to develop a love for reading and explore the magical world of books.

Students of Grades I and II brought stories to life through engaging enactments using innovative props, making storytelling lively and interactive. The excitement continued as children arrived dressed as their favorite storybook characters, showcasing their deep connection with literature.

A delightful mini parade added to the charm, where students proudly carried their favorite books, presented them, and shared why they were special—boosting confidence and communication skills. One of the most heartwarming highlights was the buddy reading session, where Grade II students read aloud to their Grade I buddies, fostering a nurturing learning environment.

Creative activities like drawing story scenes, “Guess the Story Character,” and bookmark-making added extra joy to the celebration.
The day was a perfect blend of learning and fun, leaving students inspired, confident, and eager to continue their reading journey.
