“Let’s celebrate the innocence,wonder,and limitless possibilities of childhood”
On 1st June, 2025 the Foundational section celebrated World Childhood day. This day was dedicated to promoting children’s well-being. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of equality, safety, education and a joyful childhood for every child in SIS.
The day began with a meaningful warm up session in the form of games,art integrated activities and group discussions conducted by all mother teachers in their respective classes. Students shared their favourite memories of their childhood with their classmates.The children in the Kindergarten also enjoyed watching videos of their childhood memories with their family.This was followed by various fun and educational indoor and outdoor activities across all grades from KG I to Grade II. Students had fun interacting with AI device Alexa. Children created beautiful posters showcasing their pictures right from childhood to the present day. They also had an interaction with the various members of the management team quizzing them about their childhood experiences.
As part of our efforts to make this day more meaningful, interactive and engaging, students got to enjoy a short Planetarium show organised by the Mystery Domes team. The show was organized to take them on a joyful ride and gain an understanding of space and the wonders of the universe.Our delightful Academic Supervisor, Mrs Mehjabeen Hasan was also an enthusiastic participant along with the mother teachers. All went down the memory lane reliving their childhood memories.World Childhood Day is not just a celebration- it’s a reminder to listen to our children, empower them, and ensure their voices are heard.”
