January 24, 2026:
“Education: nurturing minds, shaping values, and inspiring futures.”
World Education Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the Foundational and Middle Sections at Shantiniketan Indian School through a rich blend of creative, value-based, and experiential activities. In the Foundational Section, students explored Qatar’s heritage through interactive show-and-tell linked to grammar concepts, engaged in garden-based germination activities to appreciate nature, and participated in inclusive learning experiences through reading, writing, dance, games, and poster-making on school values and life skills.
For Grades 3–5, the celebration was thoughtfully planned by Activity Coordinator Ms. Nazia Tahseen, in collaboration with Academic Supervisor Mr. Wayne Rodrigues and Preparatory teachers. Students expressed their love for school through drawings titled “My School, My Happy Place,” reflected on “Education for a Better Future,” and collaboratively designed their Dream School, presenting their ideas with confidence.
The Middle Section marked the day during the Club Activity Period, involving 15 clubs organized by the Activity Coordinator, Mrs. Soumya Mathew, under the guidance of Mrs. Nazia Saleem. Activities included cultural dance, quizzes, digital posters, skits, presentations, creative storytelling, and talks highlighting youth empowerment, moral values, collaboration, and the transformative power of education.
