Mrs. Payal Das, Teacher of Shantiniketan Indian School, Doha-Qatar, has received the prestigious Teachers Glory Awards under the category “Excellence in Bringing Innovative Methods of Teaching” at the 26th Elets World Education Summit & Awards 2023(New Delhi-India). The event was inaugurated by Mikael Hermansson, Tedx- Speaker, Author and Edutainer, Sweden, Europe, Divyakant Shukla, Secretary, Secondary Education Board, Government of Uttar Pradesh, K Bhaskar, Commissioner of School Education (Infrastructure), Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh and G. P. Upadhyaya, Cabinet Secretary & Principle Chief Investment Advisor, Government of Sikkim at 26th Elets World Education Summit 2023. The 2-day event was followed by several programs – magazine launch, panel discussions, expo visit & networking. The 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭: Shri Temjen Imna Along, Hon’ble Tourism & Higher Education Minister, Government of Nagaland also attended the Special session at 26th Elets World Education Summit.
Mrs. Payal Das believes in including the spirit of lifelong learning with the use of innovative teaching-learning practices through the use of technology. She has developed Teaching Learning Materials using ICT enabled applications which have helped in improving classroom transactions and secure 100 % result in AISSE .She has been certified as an Innovation Ambassador of the school under the School Innovation Ambassadors Training Program (SIATP) of the Ministry of Education’s (MoE) Innovation Cell being conducted in association with CBSE and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for setting up an innovation club for students of all levels and motivates them for startup and innovation. She has also received AKS Global Teacher Award 2022.
