June 6, 2026:

The Foundational Section of Shantiniketan Indian School celebrated World Environment Day 2026 with great enthusiasm through a series of engaging and educational activities centred on the theme “Little Hands, Green Earth.” The programme aimed to nurture environmental awareness among young learners and inspire sustainable habits through meaningful experiential learning.

Students explored the Nature Grocery Store, where role-play activities introduced them to healthy food choices, nutrition, and essential life skills through a realistic shopping experience. At the Fresh Green Feast, children enjoyed healthy green snacks, juices, and salads while learning the importance of including fresh fruits and vegetables in their daily diet.

Creativity blossomed in the Green Art Studio, where students showcased their love for nature through leaf painting, green-themed artwork, and eco-friendly crafts. The beautifully decorated Green Photo Booth added excitement as children captured joyful memories with their classmates and teachers.

The Miniature Garden – Tiny Green World helped students understand the importance of caring for plants, conserving natural resources, and contributing to a greener future.

Together, our little eco-warriors took meaningful steps towards building a healthier and more sustainable world!
