June 6, 2026:
The Preparatory Section (Forenoon Grades 3–5) of Shantinikethan Indian School celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm under the leadership of Academic Supervisor Mr. Wayne Rodrigues and the coordination of Activity Coordinator Ms. Nazia Tahseen.
Students engaged in a variety of hands-on activities that promoted environmental awareness and sustainable living. Grade 3 students explored nature through a Mini Planting Activity, Leaf Printing Art, a “Save Nature” Collage, and a Recycling Sorting Game. Grade 4 students showcased creativity and innovation during the Best Out of Waste Workshop, prepared Seed Bombs, designed eco-friendly posters, and learned about water conservation through simple experiments. Grade 5 students demonstrated environmental responsibility by setting up Classroom Composting Bins, contributing to an Eco Pledge Wall, participating in a Clean-Up Drive, and presenting ideas in the Eco Innovation Challenge.
Supported by the dedicated teachers of the Preparatory Section, the celebration nurtured creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, and responsibility while inspiring students to become environmental stewards. Together, they reinforced a powerful message: every small effort can help create a greener and more sustainable future.
