To celebrate World Food Day and Global Handwashing Day, students from Grades 3 to 5 took part in an engaging event, this event was coordinated by Ms. Nazia Tahseen, Activity Coordinator along with all the preparatory teachers, under the supervision of Mr.Wayne Rodrigues, Academic Supervisor, Preparatory Section, where each class represented a different country from a list that included Italy, Japan, Mexico, India, France, China, Thailand, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, South Korea, Nepal, and Qatar.
Each class decorated their rooms with mini flags and cultural items, created informative posters about their country’s popular dishes, ingredients, and food traditions, and offered simple, food samples. Some students even dressed in traditional attire to enhance the cultural experience. The event also focused on hygiene, with ingredient cards, the use of gloves and sanitizers, and posters highlighting the importance of hand washing. Through food, art, and teamwork, students explored global cultures while learning the value of cleanliness and safe food handling.
