World Health Day – Preparatory Section (FN)

April 7, 2026:

World Health Day was celebrated in the Preparatory Section (Grades Three to Five) through engaging and meaningful activities that promoted healthy habits and well-being among students. The activities were conducted by the Forenoon Teachers of the Preparatory Section, planned by the Activity Coordinator, Ms. Nazia Tahseen, and supervised by the Academic Supervisor, Mr. Wayne Rodrigues.

Each grade was given two activity options, from which class teachers selected one based on their class preference. In Grade Three, students created a “My Healthy Plate Craft” using drawings or paper cutouts of fruits, vegetables, and grains, or participated in a fun fitness break involving stretching, jumping jacks, and dance movements. Grade Four students either performed a skit titled “Healthy vs Unhealthy Lifestyle” or wrote health pledges listing four to five personal commitments such as drinking more water, exercising, and getting proper sleep. Grade Five students conducted a “Daily Habits Survey and Graph” or created posters for a “Health Awareness Campaign.”

Students were also encouraged to bring healthy food to school, reinforcing the importance of nutritious eating and balanced living.
