As part of the observance of World Museum Day, Shantiniketan Indian School, Doha, Afternoon Session, conducted various educational and creative activities for students from Grades 1 to 10 under the coordination of the Social Science Department. The activities aimed to create awareness about the importance of museums in preserving history, culture, art, and heritage.
Students of Grades 1 and 2 conducted a special assembly on the theme “World Museums,” highlighting the significance of museums in safeguarding historical treasures. Grades 3 to 5 participated in a Heritage Art Activity where students drew and labelled monuments, heritage items, and cultural artefacts, and selected works were displayed as a mini exhibition. Students from Grades 6 to 10 prepared reflection presentations with visuals and learning points based on their visits to museums in Qatar. The activities encouraged creativity, cultural appreciation, and historical understanding among students.
