June 15, 2025:
At Shantiniketan Indian school, we believe that learning is most effective when it is joyful and colorful! To help our little learners explore the world around them through color, we celebrated Yellow Day on 15th June 2025 with our Kindergarten students. The day was filled with fun, laughter, and lots of yellow as our classrooms turned into a bright sunshine paradise!
Yellow symbolizes happiness, energy, and warmth—just like our young students! This special day was designed to stimulate visual learning, build vocabulary, and create a vibrant classroom environment that supports early development.
All the tiny tots came dressed in beautiful shades of yellow—sunflower dresses, yellow shirts, golden bows, and even banana and bee costumes! The teachers also joined in, wearing cheerful yellow outfits to match the festive spirit of the day.
The sight of so many bright and happy faces in yellow made the day truly special.
The day was packed with age-appropriate activities that helped children learn through play and exploration:
● Fruit Salad: making : A colourful blend of flavours and an enriching learning experience.
● Lemonade stations: Fresh, frizzy lemonades brought smiles on all the faces of our children.
● Integrated Movie Time: Teachers played interesting movies giving kids a relaxing and enriching screen moment.
● Science fun – Glow and Shine
● Yellow Snack Party: A healthy snack corner was set up with bananas, mango slices, pineapple juice, and corn puffs!
These interactive activities kept the little ones engaged while gently reinforcing the concept of the color yellow.Yellow Day was a glowing success! It filled the school with joy, color, and positivity. Our Kindergarten students had a memorable day that encouraged learning in the most cheerful and playful way. Events like these make learning come alive and help children form happy memories in their early years.
