November 5, 2025:
The NAD (Nammude Adukalathottam) organized the Young Farmer Contest 2024, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various schools. From Shantinikethan Indian School, a total of eight students participated in this prestigious event.
We are proud to announce that Mikha Mary Jineesh of Grade 8 secured the position of First Runner-Up. She undertook a one-year-long project, growing and nurturing plants at home, demonstrating remarkable dedication, consistency, and practical knowledge in agriculture.
This project was carried out under the guidance and mentorship of our Senior Activity Coordinator, Ms. Soumya Mathew, along with support from other dedicated Middle Section Science teachers Ms. Shahnaz Sultana and Ms. Sruthy Nibin. Their continuous guidance helped the students understand sustainable farming practices and develop essential scientific and entrepreneurial skills.
The participation of our students in this contest reflects the school’s commitment to hands-on experiential learning and fostering a sense of responsibility and innovation among young learners.
